This is the biggest footbridge delivered by our company for the Becva Biking Trail Project. It has a span of 37m and a clear width of 3m. The footbridge deck is laid on the oak-timber ledgers between the beams. The deck is supported by steel frames that give the beams sufficient stability and create, together with the steel tension braces, the bracing system underneath the footbridge deck. The deck is made out of oak-tree timber. The strength grade of glulam beams is GL28c. The beams rest on anchored elastomeric bearing pads of an atypical design. The footbridge is protected against washing away by securing tie rods.
Considering the transportation costs and local conditions, the footbridge was delivered disassembled and put together on the site. Further footbridges with a similar structural design used for this segment of the biking trail were delivered fully assembled. These were 3 footbridges with a span ranging from 22 to 29.5m in Nový Hrozenkov, Janová and Karolinka. The smaller footbridges with a span between 6 to 14m were assembled on the site from pre-engineered components.
