Footbridge over the Úpa River

The footbridge with a total length of around 46.4m consists of 4 straight segments, which are bent towards each other in both plan and elevation views. The outside segments and one of the central segments have been designed as a structure with an upper deck laid on timber beams, comprising either single-span beams supported by RC foundation blocks, or continuous beams with internal support on timber posts that are braced against the reinforced-concrete foundation. The load-bearing structure of the roofed area over a span of 20.8m includes a latticework with a lower deck. A pair of trussed beams is secured by a brace underneath the deck and by struts and roof structure at the roof level.
