The project is an open-type entrance shelter with dimensions of approx. 63.7 x 10 m. The structure is divided into a bottom part made of rolled sections HEA and IPE, steel grades S 235 and S355, and a top part (roof) made of welded I-sections, steel grade S 355. The steel structure of the roof consists of curved cross ribs in 14 main modules, which in combination with diagonal braces and cross bars constitute a trussed shell structure. Required stiffness of the bottom part of the structure is achieved by diagonal bracing elements and RC slab coupled together with girders and ceiling joists. Stiffness of the top part is achieved by joint action of the curved frames, laid crosswise, and diagonal bracing elements with cross bars. Main connections of the bottom part, which in combination with the curved frames constitute transverse bonds of the structure, were designed as screwed joints of grade 10.9 tightened by applying appropriate torque. The joints of cross braces and cross beams are screwed hinge joints. The assembly joints of the curved cross frames are welded. The outer sheathing is made of folded aluminium standing seam sheets of a thickness of 0,7mm. The inner sheathing of the shelter on the ground floor level is made of riveted slates.
